The Greater Austin Chapter of Engineers Without Borders USA was named the 2025 EWB-USA Premier Professional Chapter Award winner, with the award presented at the 2026 EWB-USA National Conference. The award recognized the chapter’s strong community engagement, creative fundraising, and meaningful local and regional impact.

Highlights cited in the nomination included the Water Trotter fundraiser, local events and Shoal Creek Cleanups as a part of Keep Austin Beautiful, and ongoing support for university design classes and student members. The chapter was also commended for its leadership on the Regional Steering Committee, collaboration with other chapters, and successful projects locally and in Puerto Rico, as well as its persistent dedication to its partner community in Tanzania.
